IT for law firms

Confidentiality is a configuration, not a promise.

Managed IT for small law offices in the Baton Rouge area: secure email, protected files, tested backups and a help desk that answers, on one flat monthly number.

What goes wrong

The three things that actually cost money.

Client data lives in email

Privileged communication sits in inboxes on phones, laptops and a home PC. If one account is compromised, so is the file.

Deadlines don't move

A dead workstation the morning of a filing is a computer problem with a court date attached.

The rules apply to your technology

Reasonable efforts to protect client information now mean multifactor sign-in, encrypted devices and a backup you can prove exists.

What we put in place

The setup, in plain terms.

Multifactor sign-in and conditional access
Every account protected, and sign-ins from unfamiliar places or devices blocked before they get in.
Encrypted devices with remote wipe
Laptops and phones enrolled in Intune on the Business Premium licenses you already have, so a lost bag is an inconvenience rather than a disclosure.
Workstation backup with tested restores
Case files, email and the billing machine backed up daily and restored on a schedule so we know it works.
Email security and phishing protection
Filtered before it lands, with staff trained on what a fake opposing counsel email looks like.
Retention and litigation hold
Configured in Microsoft 365 so nothing that needs keeping gets deleted, and nothing that should be gone lingers.
Secure client file sharing
SharePoint and OneDrive set up with permissions that make sense, so sharing a file with a client does not mean emailing an attachment.

How it is priced

Most small firms fit Managed All-In-One at $65 per user.

Backup and a pooled monthly support allowance for the whole office, with a $600 monthly minimum. Firms that want unlimited support and a quarterly review choose Complete at $110. Microsoft 365 licenses are billed separately at Microsoft's price.

Common questions

Before you call.

Do you work with our practice management software?

Yes. We support the workstations, network and Microsoft 365 that Clio, MyCase, PracticePanther and the rest run on, and we coordinate with their support when a problem is on their side.

Someone set up our Microsoft 365 years ago and nobody knows how.

That is common, and it is where most of the risk usually is. Cleaning up an existing tenant or migrating off GoDaddy or Google is quoted flat and done before the managed plan starts.

Will you sign a confidentiality agreement?

Our customer agreement carries confidentiality terms, and we are glad to sign your firm's own agreement as well. Your client data is treated as privileged, because it is.

What does the help desk actually cover?

Anything that stops someone working: email, printing, a slow machine, a document that will not open, a password reset at 7:45 on a Monday. On Complete it is unlimited. On All-In-One it comes out of the office's monthly allowance.

Start with a free assessment.

A local engineer looks at what you have, tells you honestly what is fine, and quotes the rest straight. No obligation, no sales script.
